This place was kiddie corner from where I was staying. There was no wait when we came here at around 1 PM. The service by Katrina was stellar. She sat us in a table and quickly took our orders. I ordered a western omelette with egg whites and no cheese ($9.19), and it came with biscuits and gravy (or toast), and pancakes (or hashbrowns or grits). What a deal! The food was delicious. My omelette had real ham chunks in it, like the same kind you see on a ham steak. The pancakes were ok, and the biscuits and gravy were good, but the the gravity's viscosity wasn't as thick as I usually preferred and I had a hair in my gravy. I didn't see Katrina until I was pretty much done, so I didn't bother mentioning it to her since it looked like an eye lash or something. Nothing to go crazy about, especially since her service was excellent and everything else was good. We were in and out of there within 45 minutes. I would come again. I wish they had pumpkin pancakes here though.
Restrooms were clean and the restaurant was big enough for large parties. The server gives you the check and you pay upfront with the hostess. Credit cards are accepted here. -

We decided to go here for Sunday Brunch (recommended by a friend). It's a very nice and warm environment. The staff is super friendly and don't mind making suggestions on menu items. Everyone we came in contact with gave us a smile and acknowledged us in some way.
On to the food! We started out with complimentary biscuits. That is always a plus. They were delicious. From what I hear, they are a staple at Blue Plate and I see why. They give you butter and white gravy to go with it.
For brunch, we had The Egg Breakfast. It includes 2 scrambled eggs, grits, 3 pancakes, and a huge slice of country ham! I mean we got a lot of bang for our buck with that meal alone, but we didn't stop there. We had the stuffed omelet. The ingredients were onions, bell peppers, ham, and a few more veggies. It came with bacon and homemade hashbrowns. They were good also.
Great experience. Great prices. Great food. Great people! -

Just what you would want outta a southern diner minus a strong cup of coffee. We got here just on time before a large crowd at 8:30am on a Saturday morning.
The diner had busted up seats and peeling wallpaper but the grub is good especially when you are hungry with impatient children.
The portions are large! Pancakes= huge with warm syrup. My daughter has the hugest stack of chocolate chip pancakes that looked like an ice cream sundae. She was psyched. Son had the waffle with butter and syrup. Just enough for his size.
I had the country ham, 2 eggs, home fries and a side of biscuits and gravy. Great biscuits, thin and tasteless gravy though. Husband had waffles and sausage. All in all, 4 very happy campers. All of this less than
Now where the hell is my sludge from Starbucks?!? -
